Tucked away in an industrial park in Glendale,Arizona, a legend is slowly growing. Men from all over the area are finding their way to a treasure hold of hardware and surplus goodies at Mark’s Bolts, Nuts and Surplus. Like a kid who finds himself in the center of a giant candy store, men at Mark’s Bolts wander through the open warehouse gawking at the myriad of items on the shelves and in bins. Nuts, bolts, fasteners, tools, tarps, chain and thousands of other items are stuffed into the aisles.
Mark’s Bolts has become the first stop for hobbyists, handymen and construction crews as they look for just the right item for each job. They keep checking back often because you never know what the next surplus buy might include. Mark’s Bolts, Nuts and Surplus opened in 1992 with 1500 sq.ft. space and later expanded into their own 8500 sq. ft. building in 2005 at 6710 W. Belmont Ave in Glendale just across the street from the old location.
